Happy New Year From Jenny Rutherford Real Estate!
2021 has been a crazy wonderful year for JRRE. We are so thankful for everyone who has helped us to grow and build throughout the year. We want to share some of our accomplishments that contributed to such an amazing year.
We had 71 total transactions this year! 54% of them were closed buyers and 46% were closed sellers, and three closings were referrals from clients. The market this year has been especially crazy with a low inventory of homes. We are so proud to have an almost even amount of buyers and sellers. We had a grand total of almost $27 million in volume! This year we served a large variety of clients. We sold and bought lots, condos, townhomes, single-family homes, duplexes, and more. Listing prices ranged from $150,000 to $1,200,000 and we had transactions in Downtown Savannah, Tybee Island, Whitemarsh Island, Talahi, Rincon, Springfield, Garden City, South Carolina, and Virginia. Our referrals reached even further! The average days on market took a dramatic shift this year. In the first half of the year, we had an average of 95 days on market for listings. In the second half, we saw houses going under contract in an average of 7.5 days... CRAZY! There were even a number of listings that went under contract the same day they went live! Throughout the year we gained 40 new clients!! We are so excited to be able to serve them in the coming year and years to come. We are incredibly thankful for friends, family, and clients who refer their own friends and family to us. It means so much!
We were also able to navigate the Tybee Short Term Vacation Rental Moratorium this year, even being recognized by local media in Savannah and Tybee Island as area "experts" on the topic. We're so glad we could help buyers and agents stay informed as the moratorium continues into 2022. Thunderbolt has also joined Tybee Island in vacation rental regulations and has passed an ordinance with a cap on short-term vacation rentals.
I was also selected to be part of the Savannah New Guard in 2021. This recognition is given by Savannah Magazine to growing businesspeople in the Chatham County area who not only grow their industries but also give back generously to the Savannah community. Additionally, I served as the 2021 RPAC Co-Chair (Realtor Political Action Committee). Our team was able to help a number of organizations including the Red Cross, Lowcountry Lemonade Day, and The Humane Society of Savannah.
We also added 4 new team members to the office! Bryant and Tori are licensed Realtors, Jenna works with marketing and Emily works with guest relations!
